Tania's Birthday jersey

My grandmother taught me to knit when i was 8. As i have just (6 days ago) celebrated my 42nd birthday, that means i have been knitting for (cough, cough) 34 years.
And this was my latest project.
My sister is 2 years older than me. (I'll let you do the math) and she is obsessed with orange so what better than to combine my love of knitting with her love of orange.
The link can be found here .http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/121-7-jacket-with-lace-pattern-knitted-from-side-to-side-in-karisma-superwash.
And my finished project can be found here  http://www.ravelry.com/projects/handknitted/121-7-jacket-with-lace-pattern-knitted-from-side-to-side-in-karisma-superwash.
Everyone that has seen the jersey said it was gorgeous, but I'm the kind of person that is not happy with a finished project, there is always something wrong. The jersey does look gorgeous and sometimes i look at it and think wow, did i make that!!
I love you to the moon and back Tania. Happy birthday.

  1. Saw this sweater, Drops 121-7, that you completed on Revelry. I am having an awful time constructing the left side. Almost impossible for me to "mirror" the right. Noticed that you have these instructions already written out and would love it if you would share. Thanks in advance.

    1. hi-ya. For the left side, all I did was, when I increased for the lace pattern, on the right side it was at the start of the row so on the left side you needed to do the increases at the end of the row. So… for the first increase row you would knit to the end until you had 2 stitches left on your needle then you would do a yarn round needle ( making a stitch also known as yo), knit the last 2 stitches.
For the second increase row you would knit to the end until you had 4 stitches remaining, then you would do a yarn over, knit one, yarn over, knit last 3 stitches.
For the third increase row it would be…knit to last 6,
yarn over, knit one, yarn over, knit remaining 5 stitches.
4th increase..knit until 9 stitches remain on left needle then 9yo,k1) x3, yo, knit remaining 6 stitches.
      5th increase..knit until 12 stitches remain (yo,k1) x3, yo, knit remaining 9 stitches
6th increase.. knit until 16 stitches remaining on needle then ( yo,k1) x 5, yo then knit remaining 11 stitches
      7th increase..knit until 20 stitches remain then (yo,k1) x 5, yo then knit remaining 15 stitches
8th increase...knit until 25 stitches remaining then, (yo,k1) x7, yo then knit remaining 18 stitches
      9th increase...knit until 30 stitches remain then (yo,k1) x 7, yo then knit remaining 23 stitches
      10th increase...knit until 36 stitches remain then (yo,k1) x 9, yo then knit remaining 27 stitches
This is for the medium size
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if I can be of any more help
